A quick update on plans for the 2026 West Cork History Festival before the New Year is upon us. After our surprisingly busy year off this year (two events, one in Dublin in May and one in West Cork in August) we will be back to full service from 7-9 August 2026. We will be once again at the beautiful Inish Beg near Baltimore and the programme is taking shape in a very exciting way.
Our broad theme will be Boundaries, both setting and crossing them, geographically, politically and socially. We have a number of really exciting speakers already confirmed, and we'll start to announce these early in the New Year.
Finally, would you like to become a Festival supporter? Your help would allow us to expand and improve an already brilliant annual weekend of historical discussion and debate. The Festival does not aim to make a profit, but we do need your help to make it sustainable. Find out more about how you can help us here.
And finally, we would like to send you our very best wishes for Christmas and for 2026.
