Our Festival theme for 2026 is Boundaries, and there's no boundaries that looms so large in Ireland as the Border. At our 2026 Festival in August, we're really pleaased that Cormac Moore (pictured below) will be speaking about his recent book, The Root of All Evil: The Irish Boundary Commission, one hundred and one years after it's conclusion.

The book describes the Boundary Commission journey from its inclusion as part of the 1921 Anglo-Irish Treaty through to its breakdown in late 1925, analysing the main reasons for its collapse, that still resonates today.
