The West Cork History Festival explores Irish-Australian history in Dublin

We are very grateful to the Australian Embassy in Ireland for hosting an event for the West Cork History Festival in Dublin on Wednesday 26 June.

Professor Dianne Hall of Victoria University, Melbourne, the leading historian of the Irish in Australia, was in conversation with Victoria Kingston, co-founder of the Festival. They discussed Professor Hall's most recent book A New History of the Irish in Australia written with Professor Elizabeth Malcolm (2019) and many of the fascinating strands and stories it draws out. Diaspora is one of the key themes of the 2024 West Cork History Festival in August.
