Event:

Wine Tasting

Sunday 13 August | 6.30pm | Inish Beg

Update: this event is now sold out.

As part of our Festival theme of Ireland and wine, we will be tasting a number of French wines with Irish connections. We will hear about the wines themselves and the huge part played by Irish oenophiles and vignerons in the development of wine making in Bordeaux. This will take place from 6.30-8.30pm on Sunday 13th August. It will be the final act of this year's Festival.

The wine tasting will be led by the brilliant Fionnuala Harkin and she will be joined by Festival speaker Professor Charles Ludington who will provide historical insights for some of the vineyards.

We are very grateful that a number of vineyards with Irish connections have supplied us with wine for the tasting, including Chateau Langoa-Barton, Chateau De La Ligne and Chateau de Fieuzal as well as Chateau Mac Carthy from Wines Direct.

Ticket price includes wine and canapes. Please note that the tasting will take place in the Conservatory adjacent to the main house at Inish Beg, not in the Octagon Marquee where the main Festival takes place. Please note that Sunday day tickets do not include the wine tasting, you will need to book separately.
