St Barrahane’s Church with Roaringwater Journal
This small Church of Ireland church has an amazing depth of history stretching from local concerns to the battles of Empire. From the writer Edith Somerville and her archaeologist brother, Boyle, to Ireland’s greatest stained glass artist, Harry Clarke. Your guides, Finola Finlay and Robert Harris, the founders of roaringwaterjournal.com have written extensively about it all.
- This tours start at 10AM and 2PM. Both have the same content, last approximately 2 hours and will be contained within the church
grounds. Use postal code P81 AH51 to find it.
- There is a set of stone steps to climb to the entrance, and some uneven ground in the graveyard.
- Sorry, no dogs.
